From the outset, students should view, describe, and discuss all kinds of moving things--themselves, insects, birds, trees, doors, rain, fans, swings, volleyballs, wagons, stars, etc.-- keeping notes, drawing pictures to suggest their motion, and raising questions like those listed above.
