The research process for the science curriculum preview relied heavily on the books listed below. Within each of the Five Town schools a professional library has been established that includes all of these books with the exception of Robert Hazen's, Science Matters, and Paul Hewitt's, Conceptual Physics. Also, each preview member has copies available. We encourage people to take a look at these texts if they feel the need for further clarification. Rosalind Driver's book, Making Sense of Secondary Science, includes lengthy discussions about student misconceptions at all levels. In several instances, we have recommended that teachers read whole sections of her book.
