Description:

This elective will cover the basic concepts of psychology in a semester long course. Many of today’s colleges and universities require psychology as part of their core curriculum. As contemporary society becomes more diverse and communication amongst different populations increases, a better understanding of human behavior is necessary. This class will offer an opportunity to begin looking at learning concepts, human development, data collection and analysis, and issues of behavior that may affect students and their communities today. This course will be taught using a wide variety of strategies such as cooperative projects, journal writing, term papers, guided readings, and individual activities.
