| Description: If adoption has always been in the back of your mind, then maybe it is time to take a closer look. Adoption is a big step for any family to take. It often begins as a voice in the back of your mind. Then you start to hear stories and learn of adoptive families in your community. But how do you know when it is right for you? Join representatives of MAPS (Maine Adoption Placement Service) for an informational evening to learn more about how adoption can make your parenting dreams a reality. MAPS' guiding principal is that "all children need and deserve a family of their own." Your desire to parent is the first step toward becoming the family that a child is waiting for right now. This evening will provide an overview of current trends in MAPS' extensive domestic networking and international adoption programs. This course is free - but registration is required to ensure adequate space and materials are available.
