I grew up in Camden and attended local schools graduating from Camden-Rockport High School in 1985. I attended the University of Maine at Orono and graduated in 1989 with a BA in International Affairs and a concentration in Political Science. I also studied French at UMO and spent my junior year abroad in Aix-en-Provence France at the Institute for American Universities. After graduating from UMO I worked in the investment banking field in Asia living in Bangkok and Hong Kong. After leaving banking, my wife and I traveled for several years and lived in Barcelona Spain in 1998-99 where we studied and learned Spanish. In 2002 I was hired by CRMS as a Spanish teacher and have been happily plying my trade here ever since. In 2006 I earned a BA in Spanish from the University of Maine and in 2013 I earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching Spanish following a one-year sabbatical during which I lived and studied in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
