Brad LaRoche is the sixth grade Earth and Space Science teacher at the Camden Rockport Middle School. During a sabbatical in 2009, Brad participated in the Jackson Laboratories-UMaine Center for Science and Mathematics Education Research Internship Experience.
Brad has collaborated with teachers around the state of Maine as part of the STEMming the Gap Workshop series, Microcosoms program and now the Maine STEM Collaborative investigating best teaching practices for science teachers. Brad has taught elementary and middle school science in a variety of school systems for over 20 years.
Prior to teaching, Brad was a park ranger and Chief of Education with the Boston Harbor Islands National Park. He graduated from University of Maine with a degree in Park Management. Brad lives in Searsmont with his wife Evie and daughter Olivia. When he is not teaching he can be found farming, hiking, sailing and fishing.
