Mrs. Williams works with middle school math students in the following courses:
- 6th Grade
- Everyday Math - Everyday Mathematics is a comprehensive Pre-K through grade 6 mathematics program developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project.
- 7th Grade
- Pre-Algebra - Pre-Algebra solidifies basic skills and covers the tools and vocabulary of Algebra including variables, properties, integers, equations and formulas. Students are challenged with operations with integers, solving linear equations, geometry with 2- and 3-dimensional figures, statistics, and probability. Problem solving and data analysis are core skills utilized daily.
- 8th Grade
- Course 3 - GlencoeCourse 3 Math focuses on three critical areas: (1) using and applying equations in one and two variables; (2) understanding the concepts of a function and using functions to describe quantitative relationships; (3) applying the Pythagorean Theorem and the concepts of similarity and congruence.
- Algebra 1 - Algebra 1 challenges students to develop 21st century skills such as critical thinking and creative, real-world problem solving. It stresses linear equations and inequalities, exponential and quadratic functions.
