|Bio:||Tom Gray has been teaching History at Camden Hills Regional High School since 1999, and taught 8th grade Social Studies at Mary E. Taylor Middle School in Camden for a year before that. Since 2006, he has been Social Studies Department Head at CHRHS, and he also serves as an Advisor for the Class of 2013. He also frequently leads international trips for CHRHS students.
Mr. Gray earned his BA in European History from the University of Delaware in 1994, and his Master of Arts in Teaching Social Studies degree from the University of Maine in 1998. In 2008, he earned National Board certification in Social Studies, and is currently close to completion of his MA in European History from the University of Maine.
Outside of school, music one of Mr. Gray's passions. While a student at the University of Delaware, Mr. Gray was musical director of "The Deltones," a coed a cappella group that appeared on the TV show, "The Singoff," in the Fall of 2011. Since college, he has tried to find as many opportunities to sing as many styles of music in as many settings as possible. In addition to music, Mr. Gray believe strongly that foreign travel can be a life-changing experience for students, and for this reason he frequently coordinates overseas travel experiences for CHRHS students.
Mr. Gray is a short, bald, moderately funny, often sarcastic, and generally warmhearted person.
