Commission to Reform Public Education Funding and Improve Student Performance in Maine (Blue Ribbon Commission)

The Commission to Reform Public Education Funding and Improve Student Performance in Maine was created during the 127th Maine State Legislature. This is part of PUBLIC Law, Chapter 389, LD 1641 that added an additional $15 million in education funding for local schools. The Commission is tasked with examining increasing costs throughout the public education system in Maine and to recommend action to reform public education funding and to improve student performance in the state.
